Producer Overview:
Cantina Zaccagnini was founded in 1978 by Marcello Zaccagnini in Bolognano, in the hills of Pescara province, and grew from a family winery into one of Abruzzo's best-known names. The cellar doubles as an art space, with artists invited to design labels. Its trademark is a real vine cutting, the tralcetto, from its own vineyards tied to every bottle.
Wines:
Casa Lisà Montepulciano d'Abruzzo: Ripe cherry and plum with soft tannins; an easygoing red for the table.
Casa Lisà Verdicchio: Crisp, with citrus and almond; a fresh white for seafood.
