Producer Overview:
Ríos Cósmicos makes its Limia Loureiro from a single vineyard on the banks of the Lima River in Arcos de Valdevez, in Portugal's Vinho Verde region, the home of the Loureiro grape. A mild maritime climate and granite soils give a crisp, aromatic white. The grapes are picked by hand, fermented in a single stainless steel vat and aged six months on the lees, in small quantities of about 550 cases.
Wines:
Ríos Cósmicos Limia Loureiro (Vinho Verde DOC): Aromatic, with citrus, white flowers and stone fruit. Medium-bodied and bone dry, with bright, refreshing acidity.
