Producer Overview:

Viñedos Leyla and Layla Vineyards are made by Bodega y Viñedos Korta Bucarey, a family winery founded in 1997 in Chile’s Curicó region, in the Lontué Valley about 200 km south of Santiago. The Korta Bucarey family are third-generation Basques in Chile, and their motto, “Chilean land, Basque roots,” sums up their approach: honest, fruit-driven wines from the Central Valley, made for everyday enjoyment at the table.

Wines:

Viñedos Leyla Sauvignon Blanc: Light lemon yellow, with aromas of lime, lemongrass and a hint of grapefruit rind. Crisp acidity and a persistent finish. Pair with light fish dishes or enjoy on its own.

Viñedos Leyla Cabernet Sauvignon: Blackberries and raspberries with hints of violet. Soft tannins and medium body. Best with filet mignon, grilled meats, mushroom ravioli or Mediterranean vegetables.

Layla Vineyards: Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Rosé from Chile’s Central Valley. The Layla Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Rosé are kosher.
