Producer Overview:
Casa Santos Lima is a family owned company dedicated to the production, bottling and selling of Portuguese wines. The company is present directly or indirectly in the regions of Lisboa, Algarve, Alentejo, Vinho Verde and Douro. This way and from around 400 hectares of vineyards, it produces wines known for their excellent quality/price ratio and exports around 90% of its total production to close to 50 countries in all 5 continents. Casa Santos Lima is also the largest producer of “Vinho Regional Lisboa” and “DOC Alenquer” and in the past years has been one of the most awarded Portuguese wineries in major national and international wine competitions.
Cigarra White
Named after the crickets, or cicadas, whose song fills the summer nights, this soft and lightly perfumed wine has citrus and apple fruit flavors, a tangy, flinty texture and plenty of acidity.
Cigarra Red
Very aromatic with notes of ripe black and red fruits. In the palate, it has a fruity start, very smooth and with concentrated red fruit flavours, well balanced with oak notes and a nice pronounced acidity. The fresh, yet fine tannins take over at finish, where flavours of spice and liquorice dominate.
Portuga White
A wine that presents itself as modern, with excellent aromatic intensity and offering citric fruit notes. With a light body, it has also a great natural freshness and shows great balance in the aftertaste.
Portuga Red
Deeply characterized by its low alcoholic volume, this wine ensures pleasant aromas of red ripe fruits and wild berries. In the mouth, its smoothness is evident and is followed by delicious notes of wood thanks to a four month ageing period in oak barrels. With a long and refined aftertaste this is a wine that will surely leave good memories.
