Producer Overview:

This Mosel producer is a classic example of where tradition meets modern winemaking – the cellars were originally established in 1680, while the winery contains state-of-the-art equipment for maximum quality output. The family has been growing vines in the area since 1520, and currently own three vineyards that rise out of the river at extreme angles of up to 90 degrees. The slate soils of the vineyards are able to retain and radiate heat onto the 35 year old vines, ensuring optimal and even ripening over a long growing season.
