Producer Overview:

Abbadia Ardenga, a part of the history of Brunello di Montalcino, is extremely special and definitely worth visiting, not only for its products but also for its outstanding charm. The estate has a very long history, having once belonged to the powerful Piccolomini family, whose members included Pope Pius II, responsible for the construction of the town of Pienza, a masterpiece of the Renaissance. The Estate is made up of two separate areas in the municipality of Montalcino, comprised of 260 acres. Just ten have been reserved for the vineyards. We dedicate all our efforts to the cultivation of just one grape variety, Sangiovese, which is used to produce 40,000 bottles a year.
